  2. Ha, your right, we still use gallons, and feet and inches, although some of those military types talk of Clicks.
BTW British roadsigns are in MPH and road distances are in Miles, but petrol is in liters so your only half way there.
Do you rate cars on Miles per liter?

  3. You're absolutely right. We don't seem to be able to do anything right these days. We only do half a job. Engineers use metric, builders use both metric and imperial. Car speedo's have both. And to confuse it all we still like to convert everything back to imperial just because we can. 90p for a loaf of bread thats 19 shillings in old money, i remember before decimalisation that it was 1s and 6d blah blah blah

  4. Hey I used to do a paper round and was delivering to an old folks home when we went through decimization. I had to explaind their bills to them on old money every week.

We still say, penny, tuppence..... elevenpnse, twelve "P", becauce the old money never went above 11p

Hey but now im nearly an "Old Fart" so I better be careful

  5. Hey, Just read you're "about me". Are you on the run from something or somebody?

  6. Hahahaha on the run from somebody?? LOL. I think the shifts back and forth were more about loving England (which this blog is all about) but the exchange rate and job market being shite (which, thankfully, this blog is not about.) As his son, that was my experience, at least. But I have to thank you, as considering my father "on the run from something or somebody" gave me a good laugh :)
